The Search

“Seek and you shall find” they say.

Well, sometimes the seeking takes a long damn time. You’ve been up in this lighthouse alone for months. Maybe it’s in Maine, but we like to think it’s one of the many lighthouses of coastal Georgia or South Carolina.

Night after night you light the light, looking for your thing.

It’s out there in the fog somewhere. Tonight, a shape emerges from the shadows.

Is that… oh… oh my. Wow, you found it! You can’t believe it!
